If you’re anything like me, you may have woken up today and realized your Apple’s ‘i’ button is throwing out some weird vibes. Since when did an ‘i’ amount to ‘a’ plus weird blocked question mark’? Take comfort in knowing you’re not alone.
With the new Apple iOS 11.1 update, we saw some fun new changes. Animated emoji karakoe anyone? But with any new software update, there’s always a few bugs. The good news: if your most recent texts look like a drunken ramble, at least Apple is to blame. The bad news: they have yet to find a solution.
In the meantime, Apple has come up with a quick solution to change the rule for ‘i’ in your keyboard settings.
– Go into your Settings
– Click “General”
– Click “Keyboard”
– Click “Text Replacement”
– Click “+” to add a new rule
– Type an upper-case “I” under “Phrase” and type a lower-case “i” under “Shortcut”.
Bam. Problem solved.
